Reacting over former BJD MlA Ashok Panigrahi’s joining the BJP, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said, “It would have no impact.”
Notably, Patnaik after returning from New Delhi on Sunday had said he would go to Bijepur seeking votes for his party candidate.
Congress leader Narasingha Mishra said, “There are no leaders in the BJP and the BJD (in many areas). Therefore, they are trying to buy leaders from other political parties luring them of appointing them in top posts. However, the Congress is not part of that trend in politics.”
“The BJP is not a political party. It works like a corporate house appointing leaders as servants in various posts, gives them salary, provides them other facilities and directs them to campaign for the party and party leaders,” he added.
