Itishree murder: Dandasena bail plea rejected

The Rayagada District and Sessions Court on Monday rejected bail plea of suspended school inspector Netrananda Dandasena, who is in jail in connection with the murder of Tikiri upper primary school teacher Itishree Pradhan.

Earlier, the court had rejected Dandasena’s plea seeking quashing of the murder case against him. His counsel Bishnu Prasad Panda had moved the plea on April 27 on the ground that the Crime Branch has not able to prove Dandasena’s involvement in the murder of the woman teacher.

Source said Dandasena had admitted to having enmity with Itishree, threatening her from his nephew’s cell phone and being in touch with former Koraput BJD MP Jayaram Pangi.
