The CBI probing the murder of Tikiri UP School teacher Itishree Pradhan has begun investigation into various angles of the case and prepared a list of the people for interrogation in phases. Sources said the CBI took the decision to broaden its investigation after it failed to get any clue on the whereabouts of the prime accused during its investigation which began on February 25.
On Sunday, a team went to the Tikiri police station and grilled nodal officer of mid-day meal Pabitra Mohan Nayak, teachers of the Tikiri Upper Primary School Sunakar Rout, Jitendra Nayak and Harihar Mishra who had met former headmaster of the school Netrananda Dandasena in jail. After interrogating former headmaster of the school Chandrasekhar Panda, under whose tenure the incident had taken place, the second team went to the school and quizzed each staff in this regard.
The third team went to the house of Netrananda and interrogated his eldest daughter and asked several questions including the reason of her bitterness with Itishree. Reliable sources said the CBI has kept a strict vigil on the movement of those who had met Netrananda in jail. The Central investigating wing is tracking their frequent visits to the area and contact with others, it added.
