Eminent writer and editor of magazines ‘Kadambini’ and ‘Kunikatha’ Dr Iti Samanta has been nominated as the chairperson of Writers’ and Journalists’ Association (WAJA) Odisha.
Her nomination was confirmed following a decision of the national committee of the WAJA India.
WAJA national general secretary Shivandra Prakash Diwedi has issued a letter about the nominations of Dr Samanta. The objective of the organisation is to unite the writers and journalists of different Indian languages and bring the literatures of the various languages on a common platform for their development.
