Income Tax officials on Friday conducted raids at eight places, including the residential and business premises of two chartered accountants at Jeypore in Koraput district.
The simultaneous raids were conducted after allegation of tax evasion was levelled against chartered accountants N Anda Rao and N Trinath Rao. However, the total tax evasion was yet to be ascertained. The officials also conducted raids at a private college in Jeypore owned by the duo.
Investigation was on to ascertain the alleged unaccounted transactions in the forms of financing and purchase of immovable properties, sources added.
