The Indian Railway Infrastructure Providers’ Association (IRIPA) held a protest meeting in front of the Rail Sadan here on Friday.
The association submitted a memorandum to the East Coast Railway General Manager demanding to pass the bills of the pending and completed works before July 30 under the VAT tax regime, to pay on the work tenders taken and which are at the different stages of execution before August 1 as per the VAT tax regime and to bear the extra burden by implementing the GST on the works and tenders which have been finalised after August 1.
They also threatened to continue their cease-work stir till the demands are fulfilled.
Among others, Delhi IRIPA ECoR Zone VP Amulya Kumar Dash, secretary Chinmay Kumar Dash, IRIPA central committee coordinator Anirudha Samantray, IRIPA ECoR Zone president Prabhat Kumar Mishra and general secretary Rashmi Ranjan Nanda were present.
