In a tragic incident, the eldest son of a senior IPS officer committed suicide late on Thursday night in Cuttack.
According to reports, the body of Piyush, son of Director of Government Press M Abhaya was found hanging at his official residence at Cantonment Road in the city in the late night hours.
While the reason behind Piyush taking the extreme step was not yet known, sources said that the police have found a suicide note from the room.
Following the information, senior police officers rushed to Abhaya’s residence. Piyush’s body was taken to the Swargadwar at Puri for cremation on Friday.
