The BN Pur police here have busted an IPl betting racket and arrested three persons involved in betting at lanjipalli in Ganjam district.
Acting on tipoff, the cops led by IIC Ajaya Kumar Mishra conducted a raid and seized Rs 11,18,080 cash generated from the racket, said Brahmapur SDPO Santanu Kumar Dash at a Press meet held here on Wednesday.
He informed that the betting was operated from a house at Chandannagar under lanjipalli. During the raid, kingpin of the racket Khirod Kumar Guram alias Sankar, one Ambika Prasad Padhy of Nilachal Nagar and house owner P Krishna Murty were arrested. Besides, Rs 11,18080 cash, 10 mobiles, two bikes were seized from their possessions.
