Depositors of the Sahara India held a demonstration in front of the company zonal office at Saheed Nagar here on Thursday under the aegis of ‘Sahara Depositors’ Front’ demanding repayment of their matured money.
As per their allegations, the company has failed to repay the money deposited in 2021 even after attaining maturity in 2020. This has brought misery for them and they want the money desperately for education and marriage of their children
Front convenor Jayant Das said, “The company is denying us our money which have matured since 2020. What is more distressing is the fact that, the police are not registering our complaints against the company.”
The company has duped almost 20 lakh depositors in Odisha to the tune of Rs 30,000 crore. When we try to lodge FIRs against them, the police never entertain us,” Das alleged.
