The INTUC youth wing, Odisha branch observed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birth day on Friday as “Rastriya Berojagar Diwas” (National Unemployment Day) and held a candlelight demonstration at Master Canteen Square in Bhubaneswar.
The youths demanded employment to all jobless persons or provide adequate unemployment allowance to them.
The INTUC youth wing State president Satyabrata Nayak alleged that Modi made a hallow claim to provide employment to at least 2 core youths every year, but on the contrary to the utter dismay of many, lakhs of people have become jobless during his regime.
Nayak said that because of the wrong economic policies of the Modi Government at the Centre, youths in the country are living with an uncertain future and distress.
