A three-day International conference on Power, Communication and Information Technology, to be organised by New York-based Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), will get underway at the SOA University here on Thursday.
The event that aimed at providing an international platform to discuss the emerging technologies in areas of power, energy, communication and IT would be attended by many international-acclaimed scientists, researchers and scholars, said General Chair of the conference Prof PK Dash.
The agendas of discussion would be renewable energy systems, wide area monitoring and control, distributed generation, micro and smart grid technologies, wireless communication, image processing and analysis, bio-medical signal and image processing and electronics devices, he said added.
The multi-disciplinary research cell at the SOA University has been conducting pioneering work on these areas for the last four years and the conference would go a long way in augmenting the research work, Prof Dash added.
