Chairperson of Human Rights Front (HRF) Manoj Jena on Saturday sought the National Human Rights Commission’s (NHRC) intervention in the alleged Kandhamal fake encounter incident on Friday night in which several innocent villagers were killed and four others seriously injured by the CRPF firing. In his petition, Jena demanded a high-level judicial probe ordered by the NHRC, `25-lakh compensation each to the deceased families and `10 lakh each for the injured and initiating action under Section 302 of IPC against those involved in this heinous act.
