The DAV Public School, Pokhariput organised Interschool Silver Jubilee Quiz in collaboration with Encyclopedia Britannica in the school premises on Saturday with an aim to rekindle the love for skills of quizzing under the theme ‘knowledge without boundaries.’
Thirty-four schools across the State vied for honour in the quiz conducted through two tough rounds. After the initial written quiz round, Mother’s Public School, Bhubaneswar, BJEM School, Bhubaneswar, lR DAV, Cuttack, DAV, CDA, Cuttack, DAV School, Chandrasekharpur and DAV, Pokhariput were on the stage for the acid test.
Quiz master Vinay Mudaliar conducted the programme with all expertise. At the end of the engrossing quiz, which lasted over an hour, Mother’s Public School, Bhubaneswar, BJEM School, Bhubaneswar and DAV School, Chandrasekharpur walked away with the coveted winners’ positions as first, second and third respectively. Indian Idol Junior Ananya Sritam Nanda enthralled the audience with her melodious songs. The programme was coordinated by Durga Madhab Behera.
Principal Madam Sujata, chairmen of the School Managing Committees, Bhaubaneswar, Madan Mohan Panda, Sarat Chandra Mishra, Regional Director Dr KC Satapathy, Principal of DAV Unit-8 Dr Bhagyabati Nayak and Principal of DAV Kalinganagar Bipin Chandra Sahoo encouraged all the participants to use their aptitude to take the country to newer heights.
On the same day, the school also organized the annual school exhibition ‘Renaissance-2016’ in the morning on the theme ‘Role of Science and languages in Nation Building’ which became a celebration of budding talents furiously beckoning visitors to stop by and relish their presentations and models.
The exhibition saw more than 300 displays dotting several sections of scholastic and co-scholastic areas in Science and languages like English, Odia, Hindi and Sanskrit exhibiting models and activities.
