The sports facilities in Odisha have been lauded by Dr Martin Toms, an authority on sports education at the international level.
He was delivering a Sports Science Lecture organised by the State Department of Sports and Youth Services here on Saturday.
Dr Toms is a senior lecturer in sports coaching at the School of Sport & Exercise Sciences, College of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Dr. Toms delivered the lecture on the topic “Sampling v Specialising Debate” as it impacts upon young performers from medical, psychological and sociological perspectives with examples from the latest research.
Sports & Youth Affairs Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev said it was a pleasure to host Dr Toms for the lecture.
