An All Odisha Gopal Patnaik Memorial inter-DAV School English debate competition on “Possession of Nuclear Weapon is inevitable for World Peace” was organised at the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur here on Wednesday. DAV Institutions Odisha Zone-I Regional Director Dr KC Satapathy inaugurated the competition and advised the students to be inquisitive and practise debating skills regularly for their all-round development.
Sankalp Mohapatra of DAV MCl Kalinga, Angul, Md Shadaab Hussain of DAV Unit-8 and Sonam Acharya of DAV IFFCO, Paradip were adjudged as first, second and third, respectively, among 46 students from 23 DAV Schools of Zone I and II.
The performances of the students were judged by Prof Brahmananda Satapathy, Dr Prajna Parimita Panigrahi and Prof Ashok Mohanty. DAV Chandrasekharpur English Department head and Academic supervisor Niharika Gantayat coordinated the programme.
