The third Innovation of Science Pursuit for Inspire Research (Inspire) science camp, organised by the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NITR) here for 300 school students from across the State, concluded on Friday.
The Inspire is an innovative programme sponsored by the Science and Technology Department for inculcating interest towards Science among talented students.
Chief guest VSSC Thiruvanthapuram Ex-Director and Pamda Shri awardee Prof N Vedachalam. The five-day programme featured talks by eminent professors from all over country as well as overseas, a series of lab visit and hands-on experience in different laboratories at the NITR. Besides, an industrial exposure visit was also organized at the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
The camp also provided a platform for intensified, stimulating and brain storming interaction between students and renowned scientists, technologists and academicians.
At the valedictory event, all the students were awarded with certificates by NITR Director Prof SK Sarangi.
