At a time when Ollywood actors and actress are pleading innocence about their alleged links with Oscar chit fund company, a video footage of a grand function organised by the company in Surat in October, 2009 which was telecast in a local TV channel revealed how the artists promoted the company and persuaded people about the tainted money collection company.
In the video well-known Ollywood actors and actresses are seen batting for the company.
The video footage shows some Ollywood actors like Uttam Mohanty and Papu Pompom and actresses like Jina and lipi attending the annual function of Oscar Management Services held in a big hall in Surat, which was organised by Oscar Group of Companies CMD Prabhas Rout. The video footage shows that cine artist Mohanty in his address while welcoming the guests had said this was his third visit to Surat and he would come again and again if they were with him.
He even went on describing Oscar as a five-letter word with each letter standing for a particular area of activity, namely Oscar Bank, Oscar Media, Oscar Education, Oscar Movies and Oscar Real Estate. He also said the Oscar Group was going to produce an Odia movie in which his son Babushan and wife Aparajita have acted.
Mohanty had said that with the cooperation and support of the people of Surat, Oscar Group has been able to expand its business and said, “let your goodwill be with the company.”
Actress lipi also showered her praises on Oscar Group saying ‘Oscar jindabad’. She said, “No matter how much I praise the company, it would be less than adequate.”
In her address, Ollywood actress Jina had also praised the Oscar Group CMD for inviting her to the function.
Hailing Prabhas Rout, popular comedian Papu Pompom, in his speech, said cashing in on your (people) goodwill and love, Oscar Group has started going up the ladder. “let your goodwill be with the Oscar Group and the company rolls on like a chariot,” he said.
