Injured Manmunda BJP workers meet OHRC

Published on:

Four BJP workers, who had been injured in the BJD workers’ attack at Manmunda in Boudh district on July 29, on Friday met the Odisha Human Rights Commission head and urged him to direct the police to expedite investigation into the incident.

In the petition, Narayan Karmi, Shiba Kamp, Rajesh Meher and Swadhin Kalata alleged that police have remained silent even as an FIR has already been filed in connection with the incident.

“We had been attacked severely in the presence of two Ministers. Though we have filed an FIR, police are still silent. Free movement of culprits has questioned the police’s role,” they said.
