The Infosys Bhubaneswar has entered into a partnership to provide technical skill development training to the students at the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) here.
Akanksha, the CSR arm of the Infosys Bhubaneswar Development Center (DC) on Sunday announced an enhanced partnership with the CIPET to sponsor and support free residential technical skill development training for 240 students across the four batches of the CIPET campus-II.
The initiative is being undertaken with a financial grant of `1.64 crore from the Infosys Foundation and is targeted at unemployed youths belonging to poor and weaker sections of the State.
This collaboration follows the successful completion of a pilot training programme that Akanskha and CIPET initiated in March. The training programme with a financial grant of Rs 40 lakh from the Infosys Foundation sponsored 60 economically-backward 60 students with minimum educational qualification of Class-VIII. The programme concluded in September with 100 per cent placement.
