Bhubaneswar on Thursday registered 263 Covid-19 positive cases. With this, the total tally in the capital city increased to 1,04,755. Notably, the city had recorded 197 cases on Wednesday.
Out of the 263 new cases, 218 were local contacts and 45 from quarantine.The local contacts included 18 cases in Patia followed by 15 each in Old Town and Nayapalli, nine in Baramunda and eight each in Unit-4 and Unit-9. The active cases in the city stood at 3,228. Meanwhile, one more patient succumbed to the disease, pushing the total death toll to 979 in the city. However, 187 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 1,00,527.
