A conference on Industrial Safety and Occupational Health was organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in collaboration with the Directorate of Factories and Boilers. While Labour and ESI Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak inaugurated the conference as the chief guest, ICC State Council Chairman JB Pany presided.
Among others, Commissioner cum Secretary, Labour & ESI Santhanagopalan R, Director of Factories and Boilers, Odisha Anupam Saha, Deputy Director Safety Dr Malay Kumar Pradhan and Chairperson of the ICC State Council ESH Committee Dr NR Sahu, addressed. Rajesh Kanungo, the host with the ICC State Council ESH Committee, delivered the vote of thanks.
Many industry leaders, experts and stakeholders discussed critical aspects of industrial safety and occupational health. The conference featured a plenary session and two technical sessions. A highlight of the event was the felicitation of industry best practices through the ICC Excellent Performance Award. The award recognized companies that demonstrated outstanding commitment to industrial safety and occupational health.
