A Hyderabad-Guwahati Indigo flight made an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Sunday morning.
The plane had to make the emergency landing after one of the passengers on board allegedly created a ruckus during the flight.
The passenger, identified as Irshad Ali (20), breached the flight security procedures and wanted to open the plane’s door midair and get out of it.
He was restrained by the plane’s crew and his co-passenger Abdul Karim after much effort. After landing at the BPIA, Irshad was handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and later he was admitted to the Capital Hospital. Arshad was said to be mentally unstable.
Later, the aircraft resumed it journey to Guwahati.
