The Utkal Federation of United Nations Association (UFUNA) observed the United Nations Day at the Dwaraka Mandap here recently.
Gracing the occasion as guests former Union Ministers Braja Kishore Tripathy and Bhajamaan Behera hailed various activities of the UNO. The achievements of the World Health Organisation and the UNICEF are praise worthy, Behera opined. Dhenkanal Municipality Chairman Indramani Behera and Dhenkanal Regional Improvement Trust (DRIT) Chairman Devi Prasad Bhutia demanded inclusion of India as the permanent member of UNO Security Council.
The UFUNA felicitated former Assembly Speaker Sarat Kar for receiving a doctorate degree from the Kalinga University of Chhattisgarh.
