BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday demanded an ordinance to be passed soon in the Parliament in order to bring nearly Rs 120, 00,000 crore black money deposited in foreign countries by the Indian Ministers and other influential persons of the country.
“If we bring back the black money from foreign countries, then there will be no need for Indians to deposit income tax for 60 years,” said Swamy, while delivering his memorial speech here on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of former Minister and Communist leader late Harishchandra Buxipatra.
“Buxipatra was a leader of common man and was fighting against corruption. Ironically, now, corruption is becoming a major headache for India and spoiling its image which was once respected by the world for her sovereignty, unity, rich social and cultural values,” lamented Swamy, adding that, corruption should be wiped out from top to bottom thoroughly, besides awarding exemplary punishment to the corrupts.
The situation has come to such a pass that Pakistan ISI is now blackmailing the Indian Ministers on their black money, said Swamy. He continued, “The Pakistan ISI has information regarding the bank accounts and illegal money deposits of Indian Ministers in foreign banks in 17 foreign countries, including Swiss banks,” Swamy revealed.
“When Pakistan Army beheaded Indian Army personnel a few months ago, the response of the Union Government was not satisfactory. It was because it apprehended that lest it raised its voice, Pakistan ISI would make public the illegal bank accounts of the Ministers,” said Swamy.
Claiming that the BJP will get a majority in 2014 general elections in the country by winning more than 300 seats along with his old alliances, Swamy said, “The top priority of the NDA Government will be to wipe out corruption, besides cancelling all the coal blocks, which have been allotted illegally.”
Among others, Dhenkanal MP Tathagata Satpathy, senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra, State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Surendra Nath Naik and State Commission for Women lopamudra Buxipatra spoke.
