In the 7-day long Fifth All India Hindu Adhiveshan which concluded here last month, there was a unanimous demand for declaring India as a Hindu Rashtra.
More than 400 devout Hindus from 161 Hindu organisations across 22 Indian States, Nepal and Sri lanka participated in the convocation while the delegates from the neighbouring countries expressed their desire to be a part of the Hindu Rashtra.
Maravanpulavu Sachithananthan (Sri lanka) said, “Hindus have been an integral part of Sri lanka for millenia. The British left Sri lanka as a Hindu State, but with the increase in Muslim, Christian and Buddhist populations, the police have become oppressive to Hindus. Innocent Hindus are shot to death. There is a systematic effort to ethnically cleanse Hindus.” He also appealed to the Hindu leaders of India, Nepal and Bangladesh to visit Sri lanka and provide assistance to the Hindus there.
Nikhil Bang Nagarik Sangh secretary Subhash Chakravarti said that Hindus in Bangladesh are facing a lot of atrocities since the formation of East Pakistan. After India helped liberate Bangladesh in 1971, the atrocities on Hindus only increased. As a result, crores of Hindus are seeking refuge in India. The Indian Government should ensure an independent home land for such Hindus in Bangladesh.
Forum of Nepalese Media president Prof Niranjan Ojha spoke on the state of Hindus after the identity of Nepal was changed from that of a Hindu Rashtra to a secular State. He said, “A conspiracy to religiously convert Hindus by making the Nepalese constitution a secular one is undergoing. This is to make Nepal a Christian country by 2030. It is in the interest of India that the identity of Nepal as a Hindu Rashtra is preserved.” He also said that the Indian Government should take measures so that Nepal can be declared a Hindu Rashtra.
The leaders expressed their desire that their country too be a part of this Hindu Rashtra.
