A book titled Finding India in China, authored by Anurag Biswanath, was unveiled by former Supreme Court Judge Ananga Kumar Patnaik here
on Sunday.
Patnaik said, “India and China have a lot of similarities. like India, one can find the same pictures of busy cities, rush in bus and trains in China. The only thing that is different in China from India is the mindset of people there. They are more self-confident.”
Attending the function as chief guest, former PCC president Niranjan Patnaik said many people think that there is no similarity between India and China while the truth is both countries are no way different from each other. like India, China deals with issues like poverty, terrorism, financial instability, etc., he said.
“However, people in our country should also get freedom like that in China so that the small disparities existing between the two countries can be filled up,” he added.
On the occasion, the author of the book spoke from her personal experience of travelling to China. She also highlighted the socioeconomic and political relations between some provinces of both the countries.
