A workshop on the Income Declaration Scheme-2016 was held here recently by the Income Tax Department, Odisha.
Principal Commissioner, IT Ashok Kumar Satapathy, Joint Commissioners Abhaya Charan Rout, Makhanlal Sardar and Assistant Commissioner Kishore Chandra Mohanty participated in it and gave answers to various questions.
Basically, the officials spoke about the scheme and its advantages.
Satapathy spoke that the scheme is an opportunity for disclosing hidden assets/incomes by individuals and organizations etc. without any penal provisions till September 2016.
It will be most confidential by the IT Department and the scheme duration is from June 1 to September 30. Income Tax Officer Raghunath Sethy delivered vote of thanks.
