A workshop on ‘Investment opportunity in tourism sector leading to promotion of MSME’ was held on the third day of the Odisha MSME International Trade Fair 2014 here at the IDCO exhibition Ground on Friday being inaugurated by MSME Department Secretary Panchanan Dash.
Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha president JK Mohanty urged the State Government to include tourism in the MSME sector. “The tourism sector is the only sector which loses nothing but gains everything. This sector earns foreign exchanges, creates employment and establishes global brotherhood sans much investment,” he argued. Tourism Director UK Pati informed that the employment in the sector will be doubled to four crore by 2019 as per a Govt of India survey.
