The State Government has increased the incentive for marrying divyang persons from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh per eligible couples.
All district Collectors have been apprised in this connection by the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department.
During implementation of this scheme, some operational problems were brought to the notice of the department, for which the incentive for marrying persons with benchmark disabilities has been enhanced from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh, official sources said.
