Ambedkar Jayanti: Blood donation camp held in HAL
Koraput: A blood donation camp was held on Sunday in HAL Township, Sunabeda, on the eve of the 130th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar. It was organised by the HAL SC and ST Employees’ and Officers’ Association in association with the DBDMF, Koraput. HAL Hospital Medical Officer Dr Partha Sarathi Sethi and Dr Raj Kishore Nayak jointly inaugurated the camp in the presence of association president PB Soren, general secretary Subhash Sethi and senior DBDMF office-bearers G Sanjeev Kumar, Dr Uma Shankar Prasad Patra, Shaik Ibrahim, Shaheda Parween and GB Padhi. A total of 52 persons, including senior association office-bearers donated blood.
Jala Chhatra for passersby at Semiliguda
Koraput: The Zilla Dalit Samaj Bikash Parishad has started a Jala Chhatra(drinking water kiosk ) for passersby at vending zone in Semiliguda town. The kiosk was inaugurated on April 1 by Sunabedha Municipality EO Swastik Jamadar in presence of Er Manoj Kumar Patro, social worker Purna Chandra Mohanty and Bikash Parishad president Dambaru Kuladip and secretary Lokanath Kanta.
