Nalco bauxite mine gets Excellence Award
Bhubaneswar: Nalco’s Panchpatmali Bauxite Mine has been awarded the Pollution Control Excellence Award 2021 by the State Pollution Control Board for effective pollution control measures and sound environment management practices. State Forest & Environment Minister Bikram Keshari handed over the award. Nalco CMD Sridhar Patra congratulated the mines team and reaffirmed the company’s commitment towards effective environment management.
Swachhta Pakhwada at Paradip Port
Paradip: Coinciding with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) began observance of Swachhta Pakhwada 2021 on Thursday with a Swachhta Pledge administered by Deputy Chairman AK Bose to HoDs and Dy. HoDs in front of the PPT Administrative Building. Due to Covid guidelines, Heads of Offices staffs took pledge in their respective office premises. Cleanliness activities were undertaken in the surroundings of the Administrative Building.
3 NDRF teams deployed in Cuttack, K’pada, Puri
Athagarh: Three teams of NDRF 03 Battalion of Mundali reached possible flood-affected areas of Cuttack, Kendrapada and Puri districts on Thursday on a requisition of the State Additional Relief Commissioner. Inspector Amit Gupta heads the team in Cuttack while Inspector SK Shanti leads the Kendrapada team and Inspector Narendra Kumar heads the Puri team.
