Yadavs demand caste-based census in Gajapati
Paralakhemundi: The All India Yadav Mahasangha led by Hrushikesh Gauda submitted a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister to the Gajapati district administration. They demanded a caste based Census, enumeration of Yadav population in Census -2021 and hike in reservation. Among others Budu Gauda and Krushna Gauda were present.
PEO’s Rs 70L assets detected in Bargarh
Cuttack: The Vigilance police on Thursday conducted simultaneous house searches on the properties of Anil Kumar Padhi, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Beherapali GP in Bargarh district, on the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. During the searches, properties worth Rs 70 lakh were detected. These included, one double storied building and two plots at Matruvihar, Bargarh, one TATA 709 truck, one tractor, two two-wheelers, insurance deposits over Rs.5.57 lakh, cash of Rs.69,120 and other movable and immovable properties. Further search was continuing.
