58 blood units collected at Dharamsala BJP camp
Jajpur: The BJP youth organisation of Dharamasala on Wednesday organised a blood donation camp at Santi Mandap in Jajpur district. The camp was inaugurated by BJP district youth president Babuni Raj. Total 58 units of blood were collected. Dharamsala BJP Mahila Morcha leader Smruti Rekha Pahi and party leader Parthasararthy Pahi encouraged the blood donors.
Nesco, Keonjhar holds blood donation camp
Keonjhar: A blood donation camp was held by the Nesco at Turumunga section to mark the 2nd National Electrical Safety Week. Patna MLA Jagannath Naik inaugurated the programme. Electrical SDO Chiranjit Sahu and Turumunga PS IIC Baidyanath Sahu were among the first donors .Total 52 units of blood were collected.
Carcass of rare dolphin found on Paradip beach
Paradip: A carcass of a rare dolphin, known as long-snouted spinner dolphin (stenella), was found at seashore here on Wednesday. The 4.5-feet-long male dolphin weighed around 20-25 kg. The carcass was found on the beach near Paradip Port gate number 5. Some youths had buried it the body of the dolphin after finding it dead on the beach. Receiving information, Kujang forest officials recovered the carcass and sent it for autopsy. The cause of death of the dolphin would be known after post-mortem, an official informed.
