Truckers sensitised on road safety at JSPL
Champua: The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL), Barbil organised an awareness programme on road safety for truckers as part of the observation of 32nd National Road Safety Month outside the company’s pellet plant premises with about 250 drivers of peripheral areas attending it. Plant head Brij Badhadra said, “At JSPL, safety is our outmost priority.” HR head Sarat K Panda said, “There is an urgent need to make our roads safer as the loss of lives and limbs cannot be accepted at the price of mobility.” Distribution of safety shoes, safety helmets and facemasks marked the event.
Iffco Paradip bags productivity award
Paradip: The Iffco Paradeep unit was conferred with the “Best Productivity Excellence Award 2020” from the Orissa State Productivity Council at a function held recently on the occasion of the National Productivity Week celebration. The award was presented by Revenue and Disaster Management Department Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi in the presence of the Regional Director, National Productivity Council. The award was received by Joint General Manager (Production) Iffco Paradeep RK Pandey.
Constable felicitated in Ganjam
Brahmapur: Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai felcitated Constable Pankaj Kumar Gauda of the Kabisuryanagar police station for his sincerity and exempleray work in unearthing stolen gold ornaments and cash in Purushotampur police limits. The investigation of Gouda helped police recover 6.5 kg of gold ornaments and cash of Rs 4,44,500 from the culprits.
