Bhapur (Nayagarh): Villagers under the Bhapur block area in Nayagarh district have expressed strong resentment over frequent power cuts. About 20,000 people are currently staying home in 20 gram panchayats due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Even as the State Government has announced uninterrupted power supply, the local electric officials are violating the direction openly, alleged locals. What has pained them is that the power supply has remained disrupted during night hours for the last two days when there were no rains or wind blow. Officials also don’t receive phones of complainants. Villagers have demanded that higher authorities look into the matter soon.
