Wine merchants’ body Rs 5L to Covid Fund
Bhubaneswar: The Khurda District Wine Merchants’ Association headed by its president Pravat Das and joint secretary Ashish Kumar Pratihari has contributed Rs 5 lakh to the CM’s Covid Fund. The office-bearers duo presented a cheque of the amount to the CM’s Covid Fund through outgoing DCP Anup Sahu.
Agrawal joins as Kandhamal SP
Phulbani: Vinit Agrawal joined as Superintendent of Police, Kandhmal on Monday. Earlier, he was SP, Nuapada. He took over charge from his predecessor Pratik Singh, who has been transferred to Cuttack as DCP. Agrawal said he would focus on anti-Maoist operations and undertaing of developmental works.
Bhakti is Puri DAV topper with 98.2%
Puri: Bhakti Agarwal of the DAV Public School, Puri has topped in her school in the CBSE Class X Examinations. She secured 98.2 per cent marks. Bhakti gave credits to her septuagenarian grandma Sita Devi
for her success. About her aim, she said to be a botanical researcher. Bhakti has also received many prizes in debate, storytelling, song and dance completions.
