PPT Vigilance Week concludes
Paradip: The valedictory function of the Vigilance Awareness Week by the Paradip Port Trust was held on November 3. PPT Deputy CVO HS Rout informed about the weeklong programmes. Chief guest PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy said professional honesty is the need of the hour and one should not succumb to external pressure. Right value system should be inculcated in younger generations. PPT PRO Prakash Mishra read out the message of PPT CVO SK Sadangi. Prizes were given to the winners of various competitions organised among school students during the week. PPT Vigilance AEE DP Mishra offered a vote of thanks.
Olly gets rousing welcome in JSpur
Jagatsinghpur: The official mascot of the Odisha Hockey World Cup
‘Olly’ reached at district headquarters town here on Saturday. It was given rousing welcome by the civil administration, sports lovers, students and general public. Olly was in Jagatsinghpur to promote the mega event and is to create awareness among people about the sporting extravaganza, first time going to be held in State from November 28 to December 16. Hundreds gathered on streets to welcome the caravan and mascot. Many people were seen posing for a photo session with the mascot and taking selfie. The mascot will tour some block headquarters across the district.
Children fest ‘Suravi’ held in Puri
Puri: A district-level children festival ‘Suravi’ organised by the School and Mass Education Department kicked off here recently in which kids were given opportunity to take part in various workshops, competitions and exhibitions to showcase their talents. Puri Collector Jyoti Ranjan Das, ADM Bipin Kumar Das, DRDA PD Dr Udhav Chandra Majhi, Sub-Collector Bhabataran Sahu, District Institute of Education and Training Chairman Sujata Mohanty and DEO Hrishikesh Kandi attended as guests. Biswaranjan Pradhan, Bachitra Nanda Jena, Barada Prasanna Rout and Kartikeswar Pradhan coordinated the programme. Students, who were winners of different competitions like essay, debate and general knowledge, were felicitated.
TRL Krosaki gets Kalinga Safety Award Jharsuguda:
The TRL Krosaki has received the Kalinga Safety (Gold) Award for Excellence in Safety and Health recently. TRL Krosaki VP (Corporate Services) Dr Tareapada Dash received the award from Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal at the Odisha Safety Conclave held in Bhubaneswar. Among others, Director (Factory and Boilers) Kamalendu Mohapatra, and TRL Krosaki GM (Safety and Environment) Niranjan Dash were present.
Vig Awareness Week at NTPC ends
Talcher: The Vigilance Awareness Week observance concluded here on Saturday at the NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Station Limited. Station GGM Mithilesh Kumar Singh stressed on the need of probity and transparency in public life. He urged one and all to make anti graft and anti corruption a way of life which would go a big way in nation building. Winners of various competitions held during the weeklong celebrations were felicitated.
