Three persons of a family were killed when a truck ploughed into their roadside house in the district while they were sleeping late on Friday night.
The deceased included a man, his wife and their eight-year-old daughter.
The incident took place at Bhejaput village in Damanjodi tehsil of the district.
The couple along with their children including a son was sleeping at their house when a sand-laden truck rammed into the house killing the three on the spot. But the couple’s 14-year-old son though injured had a narrow escape. The irate locals blocked the Damanjodi-Bhejaput road on Saturday by burning tyres demanding compensation to the kin of the deceased persons.
