K’mal man gets 10-yr RI for raping minor
Phulbani: Kandhamal ADJ Samar Bilas Behera on Tuesday convicted one Sribachha Digal under the POCSO Act for raping a minor girl. Digal was sentenced to undergo 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) and a pay fine of Rs 15,000, in default, to undergo six more months RI. In November 2014, Digal had raped the girl in an auto-rickshaw while she was going to her maternal aunt’s house.
SBI ATM looted in Baleswar
Baleswar: Some unidentified miscreants on Monday night allegedly looted a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM at Kanda village under the Singla police station here. The amount of cash looted is yet to be ascertained. Local after spotting the damaged ATM machine on Tuesday morning informed the police. The police reached the spot and began investigation.
