Hitting back at former IG of Police and former MP Anandi Charan Sahu for his allegation against him and calling him a ‘Nindita Gajapati’, former Director General of Police Sanjiv Marik on Sunday said that he would drag Sahu to court.
“I am my father’s son, shall teach Anadi a lesson. I will file a defamation suit and a criminal case against him. I challenge him to prove his allegations against me,” said Marik.
Notably, Charan Sahu on Saturday alleged that dreaded criminal Dhalsamant brothers had taken care of the expenses incurred on Marik’s son’s marriage.
“Marik is a Nindita Gajapati. He was suspended for his links with people having criminal antecedents. Before moving court, he should first go through Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” Sahu said.
However, Marik hit back saying that it was much-talked about then that Sahu was involved in the Belu liquor tragedy case.
“If he had proof against me then he should have gone to proper authorities to file a complaint against me rather than organising a Press conference. This is a cheap publicity stunt,” Marik added.
