A joint eviction team of officials from the BDA, the BMC, the GA and the Commissionerate Police on Friday demolished the unauthorised encroachments from Plot No 736/ 3261 (p) near Airport New Road, Bhimpur under the Air Field PS here.
During the eviction drive, a tin shed comprising of two rooms was demolished and approximately 1,300 sqft GA was made free from encroachment.
BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Kumar Patro, ACP BC Mishra and liaisioning Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty were present, among others, during the eviction drive.
A platoon of gents APR Force and a section women force were also present at the site to maintain law and order.
Though the people protested against the eviction, the local corporater was taken into confident by Enforcement Officer and liaisioning Officer of the BDA which resulted into a successful eviction drive.
