A joint eviction team consisting of officials from the BDA and the Commissionerate police on Tuesdaydemolished unauthorised constructions over Government land for construction of compound wall for OD terminal at Raghunathpur under the Nandankanan police station.
During the eviction drive, a thatched house and 20 AC-sheeted houses were demolished. A excavator from the BDA was engaged for the eviction drive.
BDA Enforcement Officer Pramod Patro, liasioning Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, BDA Assistant Engineer NK Pattnaik, Zone ACP Sangram Tudu and Nandan Kanan PS IIC Pravat Chandra Pal were present during the demolition. Platoons of gents APR Force and a section of lady force were engaged at the site to maintain law and order.
