A joint eviction team consisting of officials from the BMC and the BDA on Tuesday demolished unauthorised constructions on the Government land and road towards Kuberpuri, Aiginia and near underpass of NH-5 here under the Khandagiri police station.
During the eviction drive, a total of 37 wooden cabins, 48 temporary shops and three tin shed structures were demolished.
One excavator of the BMC was engaged for the eviction drive. The demolition drive was conducted by BDA liaison Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty, Enforcement Inspectors and Enforcement Assistant of Enforcement Squad of the BDA.
