The old bus stand, which is only meant for parking of Government buses, has now turned out to be a parking place for auto rickshaws and private buses. The administration, a few days back, had put restrictions on the private operators to park their vehicles in the area.
As a result, the commuters as well as the road side vendors have begun to feel the pinch due to a space crunch. It has become a regular affair to find that the shop owners and the owners of auto and private buses are coming down to pick up a fight. Though for the sake of parking, separate spaces are available for the autos and private buses, the operators are hardly following the rules and parking their vehicles in their assigned places. Mukesh Kumar Jain, a shop owner, said the local vendors have appraised their grievances to the local administration several times but in vain.
