The Khatikhiya, an organisation here, has been on a dharna for the last five days in front of the Jharbandh Block office, protesting against corruption in the Dava Primary Agricultural Co-operative Society.
The organisation demanded a Vigilance inquiry into the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies (ARCS) Padampur circle for illegal disbursement of loans.
The Dava PACS has deceived people of crores of rupees in connivance with officials of Revenue Department and banks, it alleged and demanded an investigation into the loans transacted by the PACS and taking to task some employees of the PACS.
The protestors also demanded suspension of the secretary of Dava PACS and sent a copy of the complaint letter to Depurt Registsrs of Cooperative Societies (DRCS), Bargarh, seeking appropriate action.
