Illegal gun factory busted in N'patna

BSF jawans on Friday unearthed an illegal country-made gun manufacturing unit in the Orlipada forest near Nakatipadar village of Narayanpatna block in Koraput district.

According to reports, the jawans also seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from the gun making unit. Besides machineries used for manufacturing weapons, large quantities of claymore mines, drilling machines, Maoist uniforms and Maoist magazines were also recovered from the deserted location, sources said.

last month, security personnel had also busted a country-made gun factory in Malkangiri district and seized explosives from Kandhamal district during separate raids.

According to the police, the manufactured guns were being supplied to Maoists.
