The Khordha district administration and the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) on Tuesday conducted joint raids on number of illegal stone crusher units and sealed 25 of them.
Reports said acting upon the piling complaints regarding illegal stone crusher units operating discreetly in the district for long, a joint team of district administration and OSPCB raided them.
During the raid it was revealed these units were operating without necessary documents.
Similarly, these crushers were also found flouting the environmental norms of OSPCB. After the raid the officials sealed the premises of these crushers.
