The IIT Bhubaneswar added a feather to its success cap when a 3rd year BTech (Computer Science) student, Manikanta Varma, won the first prize in the National Competition of Stock MIND 6, a stock market competition, organised by ICICI Securities in the Graduate category.
Varma received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 at a meeting held on May 25 in Mumbai. Besides, the ICICI Securities too presented memento and a certificate to the Head of the Institute.
Mainkanta won the prize competing with 2,61,809 students from 697 colleges of Management, Science and Technology, amongst 7 IITs including IIT Bhubaneswar.
Institute Director Prof RV Raja Kumar congratulated Manikanta for the feat.
