The IIT Bhubaneswar has got its entire community of students, faculty, staff members and their dependants including their outsourced staffs vaccinated against Covid-19.
Post vaccination, no side effects have been observed.
Principal Prof Raja Kumar said, “It (vaccination) is the most important of the means to bring normalcy in education as early as possible. We also advised those students who are away at their homes across the country to get the vaccination done in the earliest of opportunities.” The IIT Bhubaneswar could protect the campus from Covid all through till April except for five cases in September 2020. During May-June this year, a few cases have developed in the campus due to the 2nd wave which is being handled well.
