The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking for 2019 in various disciplines. In the ranking, the
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar was ranked 17 among all the engineering institutes of the country.
Under the leadership of IIT BBS Director Prof RV Rajakumar, the institute is also ranked 46 among all institutions of country in the overall category.
The rankings were released by President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi.
Prof Rajakumar said, “We have marginally improved from last year both in engineering and university rankings ahead of many institutions.
But the ranking would significantly improve in the coming years.”
